MethodologyIntendance Research is best known for its website reports that set a quality benchmark for the sector in focus. The methodology for these website reports is based on a unique scoring system using an objective, quantitative analysis of each website in a selected sample to assess the quality of the website relative to its peers. Our latest research uses over 70 data points, each website being assessed for its: Content – the information offered to all visitors to the website (password-protected content is not assessed). Usability – how easy is it to find specific information? Design – how well is the information presented? Marketing – how effectively the firm uses its website to differentiate itself? Scores for each of these categories are weighted and then summed to give an overall score, enabling us to rank the websites in the sample from best to worst. In 2005 Intendance extended the scope of its annual Solicitors (the ‘Fast 50’) report to include the results of a questionnaire that had been distributed to personnel responsible for each law firm’s website. The results gave an insight into the priorities afforded to the website by each firm. In 2006 and 2007 the report has been further extended by inviting branding and design specialist ‘Philosophy Design’ to assess the Design category and the new category ‘Marketing’. Intendance reports can be purchased by membership subscription, or direct. |
