Methodology

Understanding

Intendance’s methodical approach is designed to reduce risk, keep within budget and to meet targets in time.

Prior to any development Intendance would start by gathering information on current – and future - IT and online systems requirements, in order to fully understand needs and objectives.

Once this information has been gathered the project would be split into a number of different phases depending on requirements and time scales. These different phases would be designed to provide the maximum benefit to the firm in the shortest possible time.

Phases and stages

Phases and stages would be tailored to the project and follow a methodological process to ensure ‘all goes right first time’. Intendance generally follows the sequence below:

Information/Knowledge gathering
This stage would include a systems demonstration, workshops and a detailed analysis of the existing - and anticipated - systems. From this process Intendance would produce a functional overview and an outline project plan.

Systems Design & Specification
A systems design will be developed from the functional overview to match requirements. The specification will have a high-level, and a detailed, overview of functionality.

Graphic design
Based on the systems design and specification, we generate graphic designs concepts for the website, intranet and extranet.

Implementation

A ‘proof of concept’ site will be developed at an early stage to ensure that key components of the systems have been integrated. Once the proof of concept site has been approved the system can be rapidly expanded by including the modules and units that have been specified.

Testing
Intendance performs high level testing throughout the development process, as well as working with our client to develop their own testing program, to ensure the systems meets all functional and technical specifications

Post-implementation support
Intendance provide post-implementation support as well as an ongoing management/support service if required.
